Anbandegi Village FAQ
Where does the name Anbandegi Village come from?
The name combines anban, the wide, hollow wooden board on which dough is placed when pounding rice cake, and degi, a word for flat land.
Since when has the land at Anbandegi Village been farmed?
Slash-and-burn farmers began cutting the slopes into fields in 1965. The slopes are steep, so the land was farmed by hand instead of with farm machinery. In 1995, about 28 resident households formally bought the land and became its owners.
Can I bring a pet to Anbandegi Village?
Pets of any breed can go in all areas, and they must wear a leash.
